Training

Our practice is a training and teaching practice. The registrars are fully qualified doctors and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to our practice for six to twelve months. Video recordings of consultations are used for teaching purposes. You will be advised prior to your appointment and only if you wish will you be asked to sign for consent before being video recorded and can rest assured that all videos are erased after use.

Why be a teaching practice?

  • 'Every registrar brings something new'
  • 'Helps keep the practice up to date'
  • 'High proportions of registrars come back as locums or even partners'
  • 'Attracts new people to a rural community'

Dr Jewitt, Dr Holterman, Dr Nevison and Dr Palmer are our trainers for the GP Registrars
